The theory is very sound, because it's logically layed out. But it's
been tested. See my previous argument against the shift backspace/delete.
On the other hand, I LIKE Ctrl-Y.

Hey, did you ever think of adding the old ^KB, ^KK to the standard? Now,
once the block has been selected, anything typed would replace it, etc,
(deviating from the way WordScar did it), but it would be nice to be able
to do that from the keyboard. Or better yet, how about ^B and ^K for
marking beginning and end? Fewer keypresses. I like the Windows/Mac
think with the shift-movement selecting a block, but since we can't do
that, I'd like some other way of doing it from they keyboard.
